This unit is designed for automatic louver control, fitting within the frame size of the louver. This allows the louver to be mounted in virtually any position in the greenhouse. The release catch allows manual opening and closing of the louver irrespective of greenhouse temperature.The opener can be adjusted to automatically open at a temperature between 60 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit.

Auto openers
Shipping cost was excessive. All other greenhouse supply places were either sold out or more expensive. Two sets of directions saying two different things. Set up and installation was fairly easy once we decided which set of directions to use. So far it works well, but my main concern is that the sensor element shouldn’t be directly in line with the incoming cool air—which alters the temp regulation in a not-so-great way. It’s working thus far, wait until it gets hotter and we’ll see. Thanks for offering this product.

Prompt delivery and excellent packaging, clear concise directions and it appears to be very well made. I have not installed the unit as I am still completing the High Tunnel, but this should make ventilation of the house easy and automatic.

Heat activated louver
Works as advertised. However, the screw and nut used for fastening the device to the louver was much smaller than what is shown. They did send an extra nut that was much too big for the screw and I had to add an extra washer. The small pin that fastens the metal armature to the device is made out of plastic and will eventually break. This should have been made out of metal. Overall, it’s a decent product.
